However it became functional from April 2014 after appointment of staff. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Barnala is a district level multi disciplinary institute/organization meant for application of technology through assessment, refinement & demonstration of proven technologies under different micro farming situation in a district & serve as repository of scientific knowledge that is useful to the entire district. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Barnala will assess & refine the newly released technologies, demonstrate the proven areas and train farmers and extension functionaries on the same.
