Dr. Prahalad Singh Tanwar, joined as Deputy Director (Training), Krishi Vigyan Kendar, Barnala, Guru Angd Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences university, Ludhiana on 9th April 2013 and had promoted as Associate Director (Training) equivalent to Professor in April 2016. He born on 1st July 1970. He did his B.Sc.(Ag.) and Master degree from Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner in 1991 and 1995, respectively and got Ph.D in 2009 from CCS university, Meerut. His field of specialization is livestock production and management. He had total 24 years and 6 month experience of Krishi Vigyan Kendra including nearly 11 years served as Programme Coordinator /Deputy Director/ Associate Director in Krishi Vigyan Kendra. He had received University Gold medal during master degree and Achiever award 2011 as service award from Society for Advancement of Human and Nature(SADHNA), Solan, H.P. for significant contribution for the farming community. He also got Mid Career award in 2017 by Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Extension (SVAHE), Ludhiana and Best extension worker award 2017 by GADVASU, Ludhiana for excellent work in field of Animal husbandry extension. He had published 50 original research papers in NAAS rated journals, published 2 books and 3 training manuals , 12 technical bulletins and 61 popular articles in different magazines. He had presented 21 research papers in International conferences / world conferences/ seminar and 25 research papers in national seminar/symposium. Prepared 44 folder and leaflets in simple Punjabi language for farmers. He had implements 47 projects as PI and Associated Scientist in 4 Projects.
