Outcome | : | He earns an average net income of Rs. 101000/- annually with a production cost of Rs. 36000 per acre from organic farming, as compared to Rs. 83000 as an average net income from rice-wheat monocropping under conventional high-input agriculture. Along with this, he also sells organic vegetable seeds, and gets about a net income of Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 annually. Now he has started a medicinal, aromatic, fruit and vegetable seedling nursery and earns 1.0 to 1.5 lakhs with a gross income of Rs 5.0 to 6.0 lakhs per annum in addition to his organic farm. |
